The FLEISSNER technical center is divided into two sections with a total area of 3300 mē. A complete nonwovens line (1000 mm fabric width) with
and their applications is installed in the nonwovens section. Thermobonded webs and spunlaced webs can be produced on this nonwovens line. |
Thermal web bonding and heatsetting is done with single-drum and multi-drum dryers by the TAD process. The SteamJet is used for structuring thermobonded webs or dry-bonding of water-sensitive fibers such as super-absorbent fibers. The high-speed foam padder is used for conventional bonding of nonwovens or binder bonding at speeds of up to 200 m/min. |

For the man-made fiber sector, three melt spinning plants, one fiber line and one PET dryer with crystallizer are available. The melt spinning lines are provided with annular spinnerets. The melt is produced in a single-screw extruder. Masterbatch can be added to the melt through a side stream. Spinning system 1: Quench air flow from outside to inside for the 2-stage fiber process (can laying) for the production of single-component fibers. Spinning system 2: Quench air flow from outside to inside for the 2-stage fiber process for the production of single-component and bi-component fibers. Spinning system 3: Short spinning production line for the 1-stage fiber process passing the spun tow directly to the fiber processing line. |
The fiber line has two drawing sections and one calender section for thermal treatment under tension in the front part. This is followed by two crimpers of different working widths, one dryer and one cutting unit for staple lengths of 4 mm and more. The fiber line is designed for speeds of up to 400 m/min and tow sizes of up to 1 million denier. The melt spinning lines and the fiber line can be used for a multitude of different trial programs.
